Ladies & Gentlemen, I Am Still Here.

 photo TFIOS.jpg

Oh hai assalamualaikum!

Haha.

Ah, nyah kau semua alasan. Sebenarnya malas, tu je.

Tak reti nak mengarang ayat indah. Yang tersusun rapi. Yang manis(?) dibaca. Yang bermanfaat, sarat dengan ilmu bagai. Segala-galanya lah...sedih la pulak. Ceh. Tapi nak teruskan jugak, sebab suka baca balik post dulu dulu. Oh that's not narciss, please.

Bukan sahaja mengarang, blog orang lain pun sudah lama tak berkunjung. Haa. Prepare teman temanku, akan ku lawati dan update your thoughts. Sediakanlah buah tangan apa yang patut...erk.

Enough with the bebelan semata.

Okay.

Honestly, there are a lottt of things I wanna blog. When I say a lot, trust me. Banyak. Sangat. Untuk dikenang kenang pada masa akan datang. Tapi biasalah, malas. Hehe.

So here it is, one thing that made me like "Eh ini patut di review. Harus." Tadaa. Lihatlah gambar di atas. Duhh. Gambar tersebut I captured right after I finished the story.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. Sobs.

Eh, tak nangis pun. Setitik air mata pun tak membazir. Buku ni dijumpai ketika lepak lepak di Kinokuniya. Cewah, nerd sangat tau. Konon.

Dekat best seller corner. Grab and read the synopsis. Oh pasal cancer dan automatik melabelkan buku tersebut, depressive. Haha. I really thought it was all about cancer, sedih, melancholia, you know macam cerita Jodi Picoult's. Not really of love story. And the truth; it is love story. With so much poetry, and I'd say weird English? No, it is not weird English actually. It was just poetic beauty :)

Won't give any spoiler, promise. As I hate spoilers too.

Hazel Grace, a teenager with terminal disease, stage IV thyroid cancer mets to the lung. A loner, socially outcast and her life was totally changed ever since the diagnosis. Met with Augustus Waters, the heartthrob with missing leg, or medically, osteosarcoma during a Support Group meeting. Oh and they got a friend named Isaac, super funny and blind.

I hate how the author portrayed Augustus so imperfectly perfect. Erm you got me? Well with amputated leg, he is so charming and flirtatious. And the beauty words he uttered. I was like..not again. Haha hate it but I like it.

The thing is not about how ridiculously perfect character those protagonists always have. I mean... it doesn't make sense one has all the good traits, yeah. My thought is, either you view the person's flaws positively or the other way around. Cinta kan selalu semuanya indah, eh? Haha. I wanna give an example but no. It is so cheesy :P

I have this habit to highlight funny, beautiful or diabetically sweet phrases/quotes/thoughts on my ebook reader, Cher. Never on my book. The frustrating thing is when I read this book (papers one), I   had to resist the urge to grab Stabillos. It is my sister's book to begin with. Hihi.

Okay, back to the cancer story. It was another teenage love story, really, with cancer to battle. But still interesting to read. Because the poetic words I guess (though I'm not so into English poetry). What you can expect from this terminal ill disease. Tragic love story, kot? Haha. The end.

I gave this book three stars on the Goodreads. I love that website.

Okay sekian terima kasih. Dah kenapa tiba tiba mengarang dalam English pun tak pasti -_-"

p/s This is my first novel I've read since Hunger Games trilogy, more than one year ago. Finally. Anthem is still halfway to go.

pp/s Sedang bersedih tiba tiba Turkey ada ongoing protests. Baru berangan nak naik hot air balloon di Cappadocia sambil melihat cahaya pagi. Sedih. Takpe ada hikmah.

Till then, salam.
